Akeza - on saving time

“When we were using that river water we were washing our children out in the cold at the river. Now we wash them inside and it is better. Sometimes the children were very ill. When the illness started, it was severe. I did not face the problem of death in my family, but there were deaths in this locality.

We use the time we save from fetching water to help our husbands to farm, we weed the crops. We even make some traditional hand woven utensils. We can use our time for weaving cloth.

Drinking clean water, we are happy”
