Living without water
Martha, age 11
Martha is 11 years old. It is normal for Martha to come to the stream once a day, and she collects water for her family (4 children, 2 parents).
She has a donkey which her carries 2 25L jerry cans. I helped Martha lift the jerry cans onto the donkey's back and couldn't believe how heavy they were.
